The Magnet
The Magnet is similar to a conventional V-Pillow. Where it differs is the U shape rather than V, the filling and the cover
- The magnet can be used for sides lying, ie the U shape will go between the knees and the “pillow legs” will provide a front and rear support.
- The magnet can be used as a pillow with the U section behind the head and neck and the “Pillow legs” act as lateral supports
- a single pillow that may replace 2 or three standard pillows
- Proprioceptive and semsory benefits
- pressure reducing filling with easy to clean outer surface
The importance of simplicity cannot be overstated and is a key factor in the successful acceptance and compliance with any kind of equipment as ease of use has long been acknowledged as a key factor for clients and carers who are more likely to abandon the use of a sleep system that is too demanding or complex despite its technical merits.
Technical Information
Righ Stuff © manufactured with a combination of materials that are engineered specifically with pressure care in mind. There are two main components which are the foam filling and the outer cover, we use two fillings, depending on the product. Confor® and Comfy foam or CMHR type foam. The covers are made from a special fabric called Dartex®
CONFOR® VISCO-ELASTICFOAM
Developed by NASA under the brand name Confor® foam in the 1980’s, it was then launched into the wider market in the 1990’s, when it was known as CONFOR® visco‐elastic foam. It is now widely recognised under the name ‘memory foam’ and is primarily used in mattresses and pillows and seating cushions. Today though it must be understood not all ‘memory foams’ in the market perform and deliver the true characteristics of Confor®. Confor® foams are made from polyurethane with extra chemicals to boost its viscosity and density, the important characteristics. It reacts to human body heat, meaning it can conform to a body’s shape in minutes. After compression, it will consistently recover its shape. What is unique about Confor® foam is its ability and the speed of recovery once the force is removed. This not only provides a superior level of comfort and cushioning, it also provides impact protection and strength, all of which are vital elements in a multitude of products that go far beyond furnishings and bed products. it also provides impact protection and strength, all of which are vital elements in a multitude of products that go far beyond furnishings and bed products. Our application of this amazing material is to use it in a shredded state, this allows our filling to have an airflow
Dartex®
- 4-Way stretch,
- Wipe clean,
- MVP,
- FR: Crib5
- Bio compatibility
- Fungistatic
- Waterproof **
** Dartex® is a waterproof material and will repel fluids, however where there are seams there is a risk of fluid ingress through the seam or the breather vents if there is sufficient volume of fluid.
No product of this kind is completely impervious to fluid ingress and many are significantly less well protected by comparison as there will always be the need to facilitate air flow within the product and as such it needs to breathe, otherwise we end up with a balloon of air that will not achieve the desired results.
Cleaning:
Do not submerge, soak or fully immerse the product , wipe clean only Superficial dirt may be removed by wiping the cover with a soft cloth, moistened with water containing a neutral detergent. More persistent contamination may be treated by wiping with alcohols or a turpentine substitute, followed by hot water and detergent. Cleaning and disinfection in situ may be carried out on the coating with hand hot water and a neutral detergent or with a sodium Hypochlorite solution (0.1% or 1000 parts per million available chlorine). abrasive cleaning agents should not be used. Proprietary disinfectants may be used provided manufacturer instructions are followed. All cleaning agents and disinfectants must be removed and the item dried prior to storage. Some surface wrinkling may result from cleaning, this has no adverse effect on the fabrics properties. Drying: It is essential that the article is dried after all cleaning procedures and before storage, air drying is best or drying off with a soft cloth to remove surface moisture. Storage: Store in a cool dry area, Avoid contact with non clourfast materials.
